My name is Erik Lundqvist and I was born in 1946 and grew up in the north of Sweden. Mostly when I paint I use watercolor or acrylic color. The motives sometimes comes from my imagination but I also paint from photos. More seldom I sit out in the nature and paint. My interest in making knives started in 1978 when I read a book about lappish handicraft. The blades comes from other knifemakers, I only make the miniature blades myself. The knives are created without patterns, I make a new drawing for every object. Then I work until the handle feels right in the hand and looks like I wanted.
